Does your chair have an integrated footrest?
With a release function on the auto-return mechansim your chair seat will return to 0°-position only when the chair is not occupied. Worrying about loosing control of your rotating chair seat while enjoying a rest is not needed. Only when you get up from your chair the auto-return function is taking the chair seat to its 0°-position.
When occupied it is a swivel-only chair, and when un-occupied it is an auto-return swivel. These multiple functions in addition to its flexibility and durability makes it a smart swivel.
Mekrapid has several approved patents during the years. This is one of them.

Patron release swivel
Patron release is an automatic return swivel with release fuction. The swivel is adaptable for conical metal tube Ø50-Ø50.8mm.
